What does the treatment involve?

  1. 1

To start, we make sure the teeth that will support your bridge are healthy and strong. We then prepare these teeth for crowns by removing a thin layer of enamel.

  2. 2

We take impressions of the prepared teeth, which are used to ensure your bridge is accurately custom-made to fit perfectly. We fit a temporary bridge to protect your exposed teeth between appointments.

  3. 3

When your new bridge is ready, we check it is a perfect fit and make small adjustments if necessary. It is then fixed in place using strong dental cement.

Frequently asked questions

You must clean your bridge daily to prevent issues like bad breath and gum disease. This also includes cleaning under the false tooth. Your dentist or hygienist will show you how to use specialised cleaning tools, such as floss threaders or interdental brushes, as a regular toothbrush can’t reach this area effectively.
